INSIGHT Demonstration
INSIGHT involves to different roles - a "Transcriber" and a "Viewer". Transcribers track and enter situational information (things like Down, Distance, Field Position, etc) into INSIGHT using their phones, mobile devices, tablets or computers. Viewers, in turn, observe the Tendencies that are revealed for each situation that the Transcriber has entered.
TRANSCRIBER

You'll designate one of your staff to "transcribe" live data during your game, practice or meeting. The Transcriber will login to your team's secure INSIGHT account where they will have access to the game situation input screen shown here. (To Log in and try it simply enter "demo" for both the Email & Password).
As game situations change in real-time during your game (practice, scrimmage or meeting) the Transcriber will simply enter that information using this form from their mobile device, tablet or computer. The exact situational information shown on your team's INSIGHT Entry Form will be customized to your specific preferences. Enter situational information here to simulate the role of the Transcriber. VIEWER

As the Transcriber enters live game situation information, Viewers will see the Tendencies associated with this situation in real-time. Viewers simply login to your team's secure INSIGHT account on their phone, mobile device, tablet or computer in order to view this information. As the Transcriber continues to input situational data, Viewers will see Tendencies update in real-time during the game as shown here.
Each INSIGHT account is customized to your teams specific data and preferences. You'll have the power to decide which Situational Indicators you'll be transcribing and which Tendencies you'll be looking for. INSIGHT works for both Offensive & Defensive staffs, giving you the power to instantly access Tendencies related to everything from Run/Pass to Route Combinations to Coverages to Blitz Directions - if you break it down it can be included in INSIGHT. The data contained in your INSIGHT account is secure - protected by encrypted passwords and dual levels of security. You will designate which members of your program are authorized users of INSIGHT. |

Test INSIGHT In Your Own Environment
INSIGHT requires internet access - either a mobile, wired or wireless connection. For teams whose facilities and playing venues have wireless internet access you'll have no issues at all. For the majority that don't if you have cell service you should be fine as well. We encourage teams to test the INSIGHT system in your own environment to insure that it will perform within your requirements and expectations for timeliness and reliability, here's how:
Run this test at any time and as often as you like. It is possible that multiple programs may conducting a test using the Demo account simultaneously. If that is the case the game situation data being entered could be different than your entry - the last entry made at any point in time will be displayed. If you have any issues or questions during your test don't hesitate to contact us directly.
- Simulate your live game environment. Gather a few of your staff and station them where they are typically located on game day - in the coaches box, on the sidelines, in the locker room, etc.
- Have your coaches access the INSIGHT application on their mobile device, tablet or computer by going to www.r2sportstech-insight.com. Use the following login credentials - Email: demo, Password: demo
- Designate one of your staff members to Transcribe game data. From within the INSIGHT application go to the TRANSCRIBE page. The Transcriber will have to again login using the same credentials (Email: demo, Password: demo)
- The Transcriber can then enter situational data while other members of your staff view the Tendencies associated with each situation entered by the Transcriber. You can assess the speed and responsiveness of the INSIGHT system within your specific environment.
Run this test at any time and as often as you like. It is possible that multiple programs may conducting a test using the Demo account simultaneously. INSIGHT & the NCAA Rules
In February 2016, the NCAA Rules Committee voted to approve the use of electronic devices in the Coach's Box and Locker Room for the 2016 Season. They subsequently deferred approval of electronics to the 2017 Season. Unfortunately, in November 2016 they rescinded this approval indefinitely as they seek to gather more information and secure a consensus among NCAA programs regarding the use of electronics.
So as it currently stands the use of electronic devices during NCAA games is not allowed, meaning that NCAA programs are not permitted to use the INSIGHT application during live games. INSIGHT can be certainly be leveraged and used by NCAA teams during practices, scrimmages, meetings, etc - but not during live games. As such, RII Sports Technology delivers a set of INSIGHT Cards to its NCAA teams each week. INSIGHT Cards contain all of the information found in the INSIGHT application in a hard-copy format to insure compliance with the NCAA's restrictions on the use of in-game electronics. They allow our NCAA teams to have access to this information in a non-electronic format (using "pre-historic" technology).
